Fiona Dourif, born October 30, 1981, in Woodstock, New York, is a 43-year-old American actress and producer, standing at 5 feet 6 inches (1.66 meters). She is the daughter of actor Brad Dourif, the voice of Chucky, and psychic Jonina Dourif, and has a half-sister, Kristina Dourif.
After studying in Ireland for three years and working as a segment producer for documentaries on The History Channel and TLC, Fiona debuted in HBO’s Deadwood in 200 known for roles in Shameless, The Blacklist, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and When We Rise, she’s a horror genre standout, particularly in the Child’s Play franchise alongside her father’s iconic Chucky.
A cat lover living in Los Angeles, Fiona finds acting liberating, saying, “I feel like acting is a ton of fun. It’s the freest and most alive you can be.” Her complex relationship with horror stems from being scared by Candyman (1992) at 15, yet she embraces its lasting impact: “If a horror movie is really scary, you’ll think about it for weeks, and there’s something kind of fun about that.”
Reflecting on her craft, she values resilience, noting, “When things are just handed to people, you don’t get a sense of what the rejection and struggle is like.” Fiona’s personal connection to Chucky, a puppet from her childhood, remains strong: “When I see him in theme parks or commercials, my heart swells a little bit, and I’m like, ‘Aww! It’s my Chucky!’”
